Physical security devices such as steering wheel and gear shift locks act as a visual deterrent to criminals, however these devices have become less popular over the years as motor vehicle manufacturers have developed efficient electronic security / alarms........

......... Always ensure that your vehicle is locked when leaving it unattended and keep the keys in a secure place. An unlocked motor vehicle invites opportunist thieves.
